    • PAC Chair’s Report – revised bus routes suggested by Vanoc mean that buses will be arriving later and picking up later during the 4 weeks of road closures. Hazita and Mankee will attend Dec. 1 meeting with Vanoc to discuss this.
    • Fund Raising/Casino/Treasurer’s Report – Sharon ill
    • Grocery Vouchers – $20 000 ish to date. Veronica will check with Sharon regarding the account balance to determine the total expenditure for grocery vouchers
    • direct appeal – $6800 ish to date

  5. School Planning Council Elections
    • Nominations for SPC: Mankee Mah; Julie Kucher; Stephanie Dong

  6. Other Business:
    • traffic and pedestrian safety continue to be a concern. Kathy has requested a RCMP traffic enforcement on a regular basis. The RCMP have shown up more often this term, but more could/should be done.
    • school to look into SLO presentations on Internet Safety and Internet Bullying through RCMP

School Update

Volleyball – all teams having fun, doing well

  • huge thanks to the teachers (Nik Chiu, Faidra Hubbard, Susan Hufty) who have coached, and the parents who have supported by driving and going to the games.

In school events –

  • Hallowe’en Events – door decorating contests, in class events, costumes, etc.; primaries – various activities; gym stations; UNICEF presentation
  • 1st term pre conferences and book fair – thanks to those who helped at the book fair
  • photo retakes
  • K-7 Hand washing instruction – PHN – not all classes but by request – teachers have also been shown how to teach this
  • Building envelope project review – all seems well
  • Remembrance Day assembly
  • Grade 7 articulation started
  • 1 Non Instructional day – PSA Day

  • Divisions 13, 19, 20 – UBC Farm

  • The group following up/ continuing from last year – teaching diverse learners
