Pinnacle Pursuits’s Outdoor Leadership & Explorations

for Grades 5-7 Students, after school on Wednesdays

This is an outdoor program at U-Hill Elementary that is a response to a survey that went to parents living on campus two years ago.

The program is provided in partnership with Pinnacle Pursuits through UBC Campus & Community Planning and U-Hill Elementary School. Pinnacle Pursuits specializes in unique action-based learning and adventure-based leadership programs with youth and school groups.

Program Description:

The theme of this program focuses on the Social, Environmental, Mental, Meangingful, and Physical Wellness Domains. Experiences will be fun, outdoor, activity based sessions that will be lead and taught by professional & qualified outdoor teachers and instructors. Students will learn new skills, build friendships, and have fun as they participate in these unique group experiences every Wednesday. Experiences may include:

  • Team-building activities,
  • Eco-forest trail hike,
  • First-Aid,
  • Beach-combing,
  • Environmental awareness,
  • Orienteering team challenges,
  • Native & ecological arts and crafts projects,
  • And various special projects, outdoor explorations, and group experiences in and around the beautiful campus at UBC


Dates: October: 10, 17, 24, 31; Novemeber: 7, 14, 21, 28; December: 5,12;
Times: 1:30-3:30pm
Cost: $25 for 10 weeks. Please make cheque payable to Pinnacle Pursuits.
Please bring: Warm outdoor clothes, sturdy shoes, a snack, and rain gear.

To register: Please fill out the form that was handed to your child in class and turn it into the front desk at U-Hill Elementary. There will be a maximum of 20 children in this program. So, registration will be on a first come first serve basis.
